Island Lake Reserve

Island Lake's Commitment is to maintain the 7,000 acres lands as a continued destination fro everyone. The Island Lake Reserve prepresents our way of insuiring that the land remains with the Community of Fernie. Powder skiing, cross country skiing, ski touring, mountain biking, hiking, fishing, and simple relaxation are the many of the ways to enjoy Island lake. Bears, moose, elk, beavers, eagles and mountain goats are a few of the many animals that find safe sanctuary on our lands. Island Lake will continue to be a place for everyone to share and experience anture. We believe we have found a proper balance between proper stewardship of the land while still trying to remain a aleading economic engine of the Fernie area. We have sought the input of the community along the way and while we have found overwhelming support of our modest proposal, we have also tried to adjust our goals to meet any concerns We look forward to continuing our dialogue with the community and we encourage you to study this site and to send us your comments.
